According to the Director of the Busan Marine Natural History Museum, it aims to collect and preserve records and materials regarding marine natural history, raise the awareness about the importance of the ocean through exhibition and educational programs, and serve as a venue to think about the future of the earth and the ocean. The museum has 2 Exhibition Halls, each hall consists of 3 stories. The LTCP trainees had a chance to observe the marine life artifacts, variety of reptiles, fossils found in Korea and aquatic birds in the 1st hall. Then, the trainees went over to the 2nd hall where they could observe the crustaceans, shellfish and corals.
Fortunately, the LTCP trainees could enjoy the Special Exhibition 'Looking Pole through photographs and postcards' which shows the winners of the Polar Photo Contest and Polar Postcards. The LTCP trainees also appeared in the 'Kukje Daily News (=Newspaper of Busan, Ulsan, Gyeognam region)' which covered their field trip with prof. Kim.
