FAQ

1How do I apply?

Please refer to the program description on this website and, if the program interests you, visit the website of the Graduate School providing that program. If you have specific questions, please contact the program’s administrative office directly.
2Are official standardized test scores (TOEFL, IELTS or etc.) required when applying for admission?

English standardized test scores are not mandatory, but those who obtain official standardized test scores will receive bonus points toward admission.
3How are the scholarships paid?

All international students receive full scholarships. Airfare, insurance fees, living expenses, and dormitory fees are covered by the Korean Government. For more information about the scholarships available for the program, please see the website of the Graduate School implementing the program or contact the focal point for the program directly.
4Can I apply for admission when my undergraduate major is different?

It is eligible to apply even though undergraduate major is different.
5My undergraduate grades are very low. Is there minimum required GPA to apply?

There is no minimum required GPA, but the office of admissions does look highly upon an applicant’s GPA to determine academic ability. Nevertheless, if an applicant’s GPA is “low” but demonstrates that he or she excels in other areas such as work experience or skills, then more weight may be given to such experience and skills.
6What are the graduation requirements?

• 24 credits are required for graduation.

- Minimum grade in each course should be C0. Anything below C0 will not be considered as a passing grade.
- Minimum cumulative GPA for graduation: B0 (3.0/4.5)

• Successfully defend their thesis from Thesis Advisory Committee members during 4th session.

7Can I apply to WFU program over the internet?

Our admission requires both an online application and mail-in documents. Please check the website titled “Admission Procedures” for more information.
8Do I have to stay in the dormitory?

Staying at the dormitory is mandatory. If the student wants to live outside of dormitory, the Graduate School will not cover the finances for applicant’s rent and living expenses.
